Malaysia, truly Asia!

Located between two and seven degrees north of the Equator, Malaysia is formed by 13 states – Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Perak, Pulau Pinang, Kedah, Perlis, Sabah and Sarawak; and three Federal Territories – Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan. Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan are located in East Malaysia, while others are in Peninsular Malaysia.

Diverse holiday destination

Malaysia is a multicultural country with a tropical climate that offers everything from a pulsating metropolis to fantastic nature and wonderful beaches. It is therefore an ideal travel destination for tourists from Europe, including Netherland.

Gastronomy

Malaysia is renowned not only for its beautiful landscape, sandy beaches, pristine clear waters, various cultures but also for its wide array of culinary treasures. As a multi-ethnic and multicultural country, which includes Malay, Chinese, Indian, ethnic groups from Sabah and Sarawak, and others, Malaysian cuisine tells the stories of Malaysia, its people, cultures and traditions.

No COVID-19 travel requirements

After more than two years of hiatus, Malaysia has reopened its international borders on 1st April 2022. The reopening of Malaysian borders was the first step in reviving the country’s tourism sector. Since the border reopening, we are proud to be one of the most hassle-free countries to visit. From 1st August 2022, Malaysia removed all COVID-19 travel requirements. This means anyone can come regardless of their vaccination status, there is no need for travel insurance, and pre-departure or on-arrival tests are no longer required. The full reopening of borders is indeed a huge relief for the tourism industry as we welcome more international tourists, newcomers and regulars alike, to further boost our economy.
